Closure of Play Area

Play area closure

Consistent with Government Guidelines the play equipment on the School Playing field should not be used until further notice.

Because of the positioning of the play equipment it is difficult to cordon off, but we strongly recommend that the play equipment is not used.

These measures have been taken to help protect residents from the CORONAVIRUS.

In view of the potential seriousness of the COVID-19 situation, the Newnham Village Hall Management Committee has decided that the village hall will be closed completely until the end of April. After that it will be a rolling decision depending on developments. Further announcements will be in the Gusher, on the village Facebook pages and the village Website

VE Day Celebrations - Street party on The Green - Friday 8 May 2020

It was at 3pm on 8th May 1945 that Prime Minister Winston Churchill, announced that World War 2 was over. The countdown to the 75th Anniversary of VE Day has now begun.
