M1 - J18 TO J20 Notification of Overnight Closures (June & July 2020)

Highways England will be carrying out essential carriageway and bridge maintenance work to the M1 from junction 18 to junction 20. Work is due to start 1st June 2020 and scheduled for completion by end of July 2020.

To keep the programme as short as possible and minimise disruption, work will take place between 10pm and 6am Monday to Thursday; 10pm and 8am Friday and Saturday; 10pm and 6am on Sunday.... Read More »

Grass Cutting to resume

Having ceased operations due to Covid-19, the contractors say that Grass Cutting around the village is due to re-commence during the week beginning 27 April 2020.

In the meantime, thank you to those villagers who have kept some areas to a manageable level, although it has been lovely to see the array of wild flowers
